Santa Barbara Unified School District

Project Description

This project involved renovating a large second-floor classroom with an attached restroom, including an interior stairwell as the entryway to the classroom.

It also required installing a new four-story structural steel tower in the middle of a historical building, cutting into and re-framing multiple rooftops for access through the building for the elevator tower and onto basement footings, and installing a new elevator and elevator entrances.

“I have always enjoyed working on Santa Barbara Unified School District projects, especially the buildings that were built in the 1920s. Their architecture and design are historical treasures.” – Bill Langford
