Project Description

This project consists of the construction of a new four-story mixed-use development featuring 46 affordable housing apartments. All units are designated as affordable housing and will help expand housing opportunities within the community.

Developed in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara, the project is currently underway, with over-excavation recently completed as the team prepares for the next phase of construction. Completion is anticipated in fall 2027.

Project Description

This project consisted of the thoughtful renovation of the former Sur Le Table store located on State Street. We successfully converted the first floor into a commercial lease space, while the back portion of the building, along with the second floor, have been transformed into workforce housing. The development includes 14 well-designed studio apartments, with ten situated on the second floor and four on the first floor. Furthermore, the second floor is equipped with a community space intended to enhance the living experience for residents.

Construction is progressing steadily with the podium forecasted to be complete by the end of this month. The team is focused on meeting this milestone to keep the project on schedule.

Project Description

Located on Garden Street in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, 425 Garden provides 36 new residential units within walking distance of local businesses, services, and transit. The project required extensive coordination from start to finish due to the site’s limited footprint and its location along one of the city’s primary thoroughfares. Now complete, the development brings new housing opportunities to the area while contributing to the continued evolution of the downtown corridor.

McKinley School

Project Description

This project involved renovating a large second-floor classroom with an attached restroom, including an interior stairwell as the entryway to the classroom.

It also required installing a new four-story structural steel tower in the middle of a historical building, cutting into and re-framing multiple rooftops for access through the building for the elevator tower and onto basement footings, and installing a new elevator and elevator entrances.
